Hosts & Calendars

The third step of booking page creation is Hosts & Calendars.

This step decides who hosts the page and which calendars Meetzi should use behind the scenes.

What you can configure

In this step, Meetzi lets you configure:

  • page hosts
  • the write calendar
  • the busy calendars

Write calendar

The write calendar is where confirmed bookings are created.

This is the calendar that receives the booking event after someone schedules with you.

Busy calendars

Busy calendars are used to block time.

Meetzi checks these calendars so invitees cannot book over times that are already unavailable.

Single-user behavior

If your workspace has only one member, the page simplifies this step.

In that case, Meetzi focuses on your own host settings and lets you manage the calendar rules for that page more directly.

Multi-member behavior

If your workspace has multiple members, Meetzi allows host selection.

You can:

  • choose a host from workspace members
  • add another host row
  • remove extra host rows

Host calendar defaults

The app can use host defaults automatically, or it can apply custom calendar settings for the booking page.

Host summaries in the interface can show statuses such as:

  • Uses host defaults
  • Custom for this page
  • Uses your defaults

Read-only calendars

Some calendars may be available only for reading busy time and not for writing confirmed bookings.

Those calendars can still help block unavailable time, but they cannot be used as the destination calendar for created bookings.

Before you move on

Before leaving this step, confirm that:

  • the correct host is selected
  • the write calendar is correct
  • the busy calendars reflect the schedule you want Meetzi to respect
